I'm terribly sorry for your loss! Some little ones are just never meant to make it, unfortunately. Which is why I'm always surprised to see breeders selling them at such young ages. I'd feel a lot better buying from someone who has seen the snake eat at least a few times. :tears:

Did you mean to say "het axanthic" in your original post? Because the pic you show is of a normal looking baby. Regardless of genetics though....the loss is the same. I'm sorry.

No its an axanthic but thats how much it has dulled, I brought it to one of the local breeders her yesterday, she put it next to a older axanthic you could tell it was an axanthic just so dull.

I'm terribly sorry to hear about your loss. It's very unfortunate this had to happen. She's so tiny and so cute :tears: You did what you could to help her out, so she was lucky to be with you the short time she was

looking at the pictures I don't think she needed to be assist fed yet.
Here is a mojave i have been assisting. This is after eating 3 meals in 3 months.
it got much skinnier than this picture.

She was alot worst then the pics have it as.She has a lump in her stomach since of the mouse i fed her but with out it,she was 46grams and had very bad skin folds. Also her head was really tiny cause she lost fat resovers(spelling).

So sorry to read of the loss of this young snake.

If you don't mind me asking what sort of feeding history information did the breeder supply you with on this hatchling as far as how often she'd eaten and what type/size of prey she'd successfully taken for him/her (the breeder you bought from).

Wow, I'm really sorry to hear about that. Did the breeder sell her as having eaten already? I would question that for sure. At any rate it is a terrible loss and I'm sorry to hear it.

Just a little side note, from what I've seen of pricing lately, that seems quite steep even for a pair of axanthics just MHO.
