I feed rats to everything and have no issues. No fasting, except for the breeding season with the adults. Males are getting small/med rats and females med/large. (all f/t) I feed mice to babies and large mice to juvies until they hit about 400g, then it's rats all the way.
I had a baby burm that ate live get bitten like that and I felt horrible. Sorry it happened Lena, and hope he heals up well for you:)
