You will eventually fall to the inevitable control that is Ferret Math! We started off with one, got her a friend, then got two more, and if I wasn't moving in with my mother in law who said "NO MORE ANIMALS" I'd be getting another. My friend has 7. We have 4. We lived in the same house at one time (they only had 5 at the time, but that's still 9 ferrets).

They are addictive little creatures. Your two are absolutely adorable. I miss baby faces! My youngest is just growing out of her baby features.

Snakes and ferrets definitely do not mix. Unfortuneatly I have to keep my snake racks in the same room as my ferrets. When the ferrets get their run time I sit guard next to the racks because Twitch, my oldest, has learned to open the tubs! :O And my girl would not hesitate to kill a snake. She has a big hunting instinct.

Good luck with your two and I hope you can get more. I think the more ferrets, the happier the home. Haha. Or something like that. Definitely a crazier home. Haha.

Not sure if this is allowed, but if you are interested in a ferret forum (I'm a forum-holic) check this place out. Lots of friendly people who adore their ferrets.

They only smell bad if you wait too long to clean their cage. They have a naturally occuring musky odor, even when descented, but it is not much different from a cat or dog. As long as you clean the cage, smell shouldn't be an issue.

Unless sleep is involved, I don't think it's possible for a ferret to stay still for more than 2 seconds. :D Your two are very cute! I love those faces! It's like they are saying "No, not another picture! When will you stop this torture?" I know my oldest girl will try everything in her little power to get away from a photo shoot.

they have a unique odor. BUT you can keep it to a minimum by NOT bathing them and keeping their cage clean on a regular basis.
