Re: Savannah Monitors
hey
1. Can they be housed together? As far as I know with keeping fourlegged reptiles, it is a No but I want to make sure.
With savannah monitors you can have up to 3 in the same tank if enough room is available; now a lot of people say that you cant do this but those are people who dont know what their doing/talking about...savannahs have been found hunting together even partnering up (i think idk how to say it)....they all have to be within the same size of course
i just let the sun in for uvb
3. Whats a good diet for a hatchling
Pinky mice maybe twice a week...but use roaches, crickets, night worms not sure of the name but they sell them in walmart for a jar for 2 bucks, meal worms...dog food but never do it unless you have nothing else (canned dog food) thats kindof to fatten them up.
4. Where can I find healthy baby savs for sale?
Your local petstores....i wouldnt recommend getting it from major stores because they are jacked up prices you shouldnt pay more than $30

Babies and juveniles should eat almost every day when they have proper basking temps of 130+ F that includes every monitor..

i didn't say adults eat every day but babies and juveniles will and can when given proper temperatures. Most if not all monitors will get 3/4 or more there total length the first year when taken care of properly but thats not the case with 99% of monitors because they end up dead in the first year due to improper everything.
