SnakeBytesTV-Too many snakes???

Brian I really love this week's show!

When I had about 10 snakes I used to feed them outside of their enclosures and they did great. The twitchy snakes still tried to bite me and the calm snakes did not try to bite. Now I have 38 snakes and I feed inside the enclosure and they do great. The twitchy snakes still try to bite me and the calm snakes do not try to bite. My opinion is if your snake has a great feeding response, feed it wherever you want. If the feeding response sucks, feed it in the enclosure and don't mess with the snake or move anything around inside the enclosure.

As for the snake myths, I think it woud have been a lot more relatable if you were able to use two of the same species of snake but I think it was right for the most part... although in my experience some of my snakes are pissy as hell and the others are totally calm and I handle them all the same, which is very little.

My original corn snake acts just like the one in that video. Flightly, musky, but doesn't really bite.
She wasn't always like that though. For a year or so, I neglected to handle her very much, which was purely my fault.

I know thats truth first hand, but some snakes just have nasty attitudes no matter how much they are handled.

I agree with your points on the feeding. I think will Ball pythons exspecially they don't do well in a feeding bin. It's hard to cover so many types of snakes in one segemnt. For instance Boas a lot of the times are better to feed in a feeding bin, while Balls aren't. My point is I have to be more careful to consider a segment before I run with it. We try our hardest to put out good info, but we do make mistakes like this from time to time. We're all learning and I do appreciate everones suggestions. Please keep them coming:) Brian(BHB)

As you have mentioned the type of snake has alot to do with not only feeding but handling too.

and my take on feeding in or out of the cage is the same as brians in the video. The snakes that I clean at work are all fed in the cage and most have a good feeding response and I have to "let them know" food is not coming when I take them out. Like also mentioned the type of the snake is a huge factor as well. I have a brb and always fed him out of the cage and its no prob taking him out but getting him out of the feeding tub is always a little tricky. I feed my balls in the cage though with no problem.

I love your shows. Chewy is a great sport and is comical, I love when he gets bit. Esp the episode where he got tagged on the nose LOL! But could you tell a newbie such as myself how do you quarantine all of those new snakes?:)
