Basic short list of goodies:
Plywood, I use thicker the longer it gets. So a short 2 footer I will use like 1/2", longer will be like 3/4".
Pegboard, depending on size of enclosure will make the difference.
1x2 for door surround and litter dam, enough to make a pass around top piece and bottom piece. The back pegboard also screws to this.
Sides can be any thickness from 1/2 to 3/4" depending on how tall you build it. Usually the cut off pieces from the bottom and top do the job.
Screws of 2 lengths.....short ones for the sides to the 1x2 and longer for plywood to plywood. I use like 1 1/4 and 2" for this.
Good latex semi-gloss paint for inside and out.
Sheet of 1/8" lexan for window in door, if you use sliding track then 1/4" is the only way to go.
1x2 and 1x3 for the door frame, hinges and latches.
Button washers for attaching lexan window to wood, without these the lexan may crack as you snug it down. These washers have a dented in spot for the screw to recess into.
Heating is up to the user. For most Colubrid uses I use no extra heat as my room is heated, however for a Boid you may want to look at a heat panel or other means of warming up one end.

Oh, I use Dap brand tub and tile caulking for the seams and all, dries up good and will take paint.
