Re: Stressing...*rant party*
My life isn't boring, I just like to understate it.

Sorry about that...
For some reason I haven't been sleeping all that much, ive been working on 3 hours of sleep a day.
Two normals wont eat
Had to treat all my snakes for roundworms... NOT fun!
stressing out about all of the above them and then some
Re: Stressing...*rant party*
I'm not really stressed out by too much right now. I don't like to think about the economy, I can't change it, so I adapt to it. I'm actually rather upbeat, we're pregnant with our next baby (hoping for a healthy girl), our son is growing up healthy, never goes without, we have a comfortable place to live, don't have any financial problems currently and we have several hobbies. Can't ask for too much more.

You know what really grinds my gears? When I can't find the droids I'm looking for!

I don't think I'm boring either. I have two kids I have to think about and my family has had to change our lifestyle now that we are getting nailed at the gas pumps. Once again though, why get yourself sick over things you have no control over.
I used to be a surgical technician and worked at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. This experience really woke me up. Sorry RoyalGuardian, but you have no idea what type of stress some people/families have. While your crying and ranting online about your 401K, there is probably another 18 year old just like yourself struggling to live through the night.
All I'm trying to say is that things could be alot worse. Be thankful for what you have. :)

Take this from someone who has Bipolar Depression and an extreme Anxiety Disorder... the ONLY thing that's stopped all my symptoms (not even medication would do this) is Yoga.
stress is related to 99% of all illness
Re: Stressing...*rant party*
I dont do stress anymore. Its bad for you and causes more stress.
You are what you think about and if you think about negative things you will have negative experiences, it is an ugly cycle.
Sometimes we have to stop and remember how blessed we are to have so many wonderful things that most people in the world can only dream of. Unfortunately most people dont realize how much they have going for them until it gets taken away.
There are so many wonderful things in life we take for granted. Next time you see a quadrapalegic in a wheelchair or the starving peoples in 3rd world countries maybe it will be a reminder that we throw away more food and other items than most of the planet have to begin with.
Life is the greatest opportunity you will ever have and trust me it goes by fast. Enjoy every experience while you can one day it will be over and all we will have is our memories, what do you want yours to be?
We learn the most important lessons and values from our difficulties not our successes. It takes this downfall of our economy for us to open our eyes, expose all the greed and make it a better place. So I look at it as a great opportunity for improvement and some great deals on stocks and real estate;).

Great statement Raul.
I think we all need to hear it or read it once in a while.
It is really important t put things in perspective (but, of course, it´s easier when you´re turning 40 than when you´re 18)
Re: Stressing...*rant party*
I've been caught in a good-news/bad-news situation lately.
Good News: All that pain and illness I've been having...solved!
Bad News: All the foods I love are off limits for the rest of my life :(
Good News: Getting ready to take a sabbatical from work to develop some new business areas
Bad News: with the market tanking, I might not be able to afford it and need to go out and find a new job PRONTO!
Overall though, I thank my lucky stars every day for the great life I have :)
