Why do the two hides need to be identical?

Thank you guys again. This site has been an amazing resource. I think I've read every thread, looked at every picture, and watched every video. (prob not even 3%) lol. But either way, thanks. I'll be ordering 2 new hides tonight...I hope he can handle the 3-5 days until they get here.

hmm i have a 4 and a half footer and its hide box is a large deep cat litre box i bought new and cut a hole in it then lightly melted the rough edges down to make them smooth lmao.
