Congradulations!!! That is a fantastic first bite. I would have to print that one out and frame it in the snake room...

No, sorry. It's my own special line - formulated here at home from my rats' urine. "Eu d' Rat" is not for sale. :P

And no, I didn't make any movements that scared him. He just didn't want to get off me, and when I grabbed at his tail he whipped around and tagged me. The worst part was that I was actually looking in the mirror while doing this (I always have to so that I don't twist them around the wrong way) and I could TELL he was going to bite me. Y'know how you can just read them after knowing them for a while? Well, I can read mine and I KNEW he was going to do it. I said out loud, "Please don't bite me until I get you off my neck." and right then was when he did it, the stinker. I wish I had a photo of my face when he struck. It wasn't surprise or shock or pain or anger. It was, "Yup... just great." -lol-

that's too funny! I''ve never had one stay latched on for more than a split second....I'm jealous (which proves I am sick in the head I think)

today my ball managed to botch a feeding strike and ended up biting himself in the neck. he was stuck, too.....I had to go in there and unhook his top teeth from his hide. no blood though and he ate like a champ within seconds.

you know you're a herper when....you think biting is adorable!

Aww, fishmommy! Your poor snake! I hope he's okay. That's gotta be worse than biting your tongue and we all know how bad THAT hurts. :( Poor little guy.
