We're watching The Weather Channel, this looks ugly. Best wishes and good luck to you all in the path of Ike.

Justin, and everyone else who was directly affected by Ike, please make sure you post back here when you are able. I'm watching the devastation, and worried for all our members who lived through this!

Me too Robin. I'm not from a place where I've ever dealt with a hurricane so I cannot begin to wrap my mind around what this is doing to people's lives. Be safe, please let us know if you are okay and if there is anything we can do to help.

I'm from Halifax N.S. and we ended up having a hurricane a few years back now:confused: We didn't think much of it because in the 24 years I have lived here, we have never had one. The devastation was ridiculous! I got stuck about 5 hours away from here so I didn't experience it but when we were actually able to safely go back home, about 2 hours outside of Halifax, we started seeing some damage.

A lot of places here didn't have power for upwards of 3-4 weeks.

The hurricane was called Hurricane Juan. If you google it in the images, adding Halifax N.S. too it you can see pictures.

    Good luck!
