    Adee, these tubs are GREAT! We got them at Bed Bath & Beyond. Shoe box size tubs are 6 bucks, breeder size tubs than can house 2 to 3 adult geckos are 14. There aren't gaps, we soldered a hole for pegs, and we used heat tape under each level (we originally used it on the back but it wasn't as successful).

    Amy, I was just going to post and see about doing one big strip across the back for heat and what risk your talking when using the heating element and risk of it melting... I wonder what kind of breakdown there would be after 90 degrees for awhile. Lord knows I need the space in my rack system.. I would love to get the geckos out of the rack and into their own mini rack system like that, its awesome!

    You prob won't melt the plastic but the way the tubs are constructed, you have to run the heat way too high to get a good hot spot. Just not efficient. The belly heat is working well so far.
