Well I guess im going to have to deal with it for now. When they get big enough i'll just feed them to my babies. I am getting some trios of rats soon so the babies will be bigger and wont be able to fit through. I guess i will have to retrofit a few of the rack slots with smaller cloth.

Well I decided I didn't want to deal with the half inch mesh problem. I went to home depot instead and bought a bunch of supplies to build a new rack.:D:D

This rack becomes the rat rack and the new rack gets the mice and ASF's:sweeet:

Good plan! The racks look good. We don't do mice or ASF's at all for our ball pythons. A new born rat pup is a good size for a baby snakes first meal. Also we keep them on rats then we don't have to worry about them getting particular later when a Large mouse or ASF is not large enough for a good meal.

Now I have to get to work and build some additional racks for our growing rat population. 18 cement tubs and 6 of the large rodent bins from Big Apple just are not enough any longer. Going to probably build at least 18 more tubs worth for now.

Nice rack! :gj: I have a question... this is the second or third time I've seen ASF's in tubs... aren't they horrible chewers? I've thought about getting some, but my friends that have them keep them in tanks... I'm just curious if ( Or hoping that :)) they will stay put in the concrete tubs!

    Again, great rack!
