    it was for a project. :) There is pictures of spurs, the text is kinda weird in that part though im not exactly sure what happened.

    If what you are seeing looks like two clawlike things one on each side of the vent - those are spurs and all bp's have them both male and female. If what you are seeing is twin red flesh like horns then it's a male and he's everting his hemipenes (his twin reproductive organs). They will do this when stressed sometimes. Females can also evert but of course look different than the males.
