I wish I could find some hairless around here. No store carries them and I wouldn't even know who to talk to about finding a breeder. I want a hairless so bad.

Quickest way to a hairless is through rexes!:D Or a razor.

Rats do usually only live for 2 years. Spaying and nuetering can help prevent cancer, which will lengthen their life span.
Rats have been known to live for 4 or 5 years, although nowadays it's not very common.

Yeah that's the sad thing about them :( My sister has a blue hooded hairless, beautiful blue skin! But she's a year old now and has been having a lot of tumors :confused: comming to the surface and rupturing. My little sis puts some meds on it and she's fine for the next month till it all happens again. It's weird. She's a fantastic rat though!

that sucks.
i think mine is prego, go figure. the one that i did not want to breed getts knocked up and the others wont reproduce for nothing its crazy.
