You nailed it. I was kinda surprised when I opened the box. I was expecting a normal looking ball. It's hard to believe they get lighter with age.

Fires are one of my top favs!! Good looking snake! Everyone should have one!:D

it wasn't the head that made me think that. I have a fire and something that seems consistent in them is that they have the kinda weird mottled, melty yellow color coming up from their bellies. You can see it on his side, somewhat nearish to the tail, as it's positioned by his head.

That's a beautiful specimen of a Fire! I can't wait till I get one.
