    I live in Phoenix, Az and am a member of the Arizona Herpetological Association. I also volunteer for the reptile rescue hotline. I have been fortunate enough to go on several Gila calls. It never gets old finding one of these, even if it is in someone's back yard. I also deal with plenty of rattlesnakes and "eight foot gopher snakes".

    Yes highly illegal would be the word for even touching it. Your looking at over a thousand dollars in fines when you lay a fingure on it.
