Re: I.D. My Snake to settle a bet!
Usually I would have no idea, but I just went to the Iowa State Fair and they had a snake house and that snake was there! It was one of those "is it this or that" things.
Re: I.D. My Snake to settle a bet!

Re: I.D. My Snake to settle a bet!
My guess is Mexican milksnake (Lampropeltis triangulum annulata). Just like mine, but there is no yellow or white in the snout.
Can you post a ventral shot of this milksnake? So i can compare to my milksnake.
If you mind I can post my milksnake in this thread, If its ok for you.
Re: I.D. My Snake to settle a bet!
its not a milk snake its a coral snake better watch out they are poisonous and can kill you.:rolleye2::P:D;)
Re: I.D. My Snake to settle a bet!
It looks more like an integrade to me. Not enough Sinaloan and not enough Nelsoni, but a perfect combination of the two. Sinaloans tend to have longer red bands with thinnner triads. Nelsoni usually have slightly narrower red bands, but wider black bands. I would say it's a mix. Either way, they are too closely related to say for sure. Pretty snakes.
Definately not an annulata.
