I am really happy with Vanodine. It's actually a virucide, fungicide and anti bacterial. I have been using it for a while and it does really good.

They have a very informative website. www.vanodine.com

The only bad thing is it is iodine based and can stain some plastics.

With bleach you have to let everything dry before using it. Chlorohexadine is the best way to go. It's safe, cheap, and very effective. We even use it at the hospital for a scrub soap in the O.R..

Right on. My bottle says it's only for animals, but I use it for everything. I've gotten a little OCD since I started workintg with reptiles. It works great for piercings, too. Except with bleach, you don't have to let it dry. You just have to rinse off all the bleach, which is the same asd CH.

My Vet says they use cholorohex to disinfect surgical tools and animal wounds too. He said it has different applications at different concentrations. I bought a special mixture made for cleaning dogs mouths. It works great on my boy Harry's nasty breath;)

I love the stuff, keep a spray bottle in the snake room at all times.
