Also, even if you do not cool your snakes, they will notice the drop in barometric pressure outside, (during the cool season) which in turn will help with the development of follicles.

So basically, I still have to wait till later in the season, even if I don't plan on cooling my snakes? Is it possible to breed them according to the pressure when its not winter?

Basically, they'll go when they're ready. If she's not ready, she won't go - if she is, she will. Breeding is a lot of hurry up and wait.

How will I know when they are ready if I am not planning to cool? I'm thinking about just going ahead and following Adam's breeding calendar and cooling.

Start palpating her and find out if she has follicles and what size they are. She's not ready if they are the size of BBs. If they are gobstopper(candy) size, then try to start pairing. Some girls go quickly, some take their dear sweet time. I barely cooled mine(85 hot-80 cool) for 16 hours a day, then for the remainder, it was back to normal(95 hot, 84 cool). The girls all took about 3-5 months from first breeding to ovulation to egg laying.

    Depends on the female though..

And why would a 300g baby be getting 65-75g weaned rats?

Are you talking about my 300g baby? If so, he's not getting 65-75g rats. The rats I feed are normally around 40-50g.
