My male has lots of scarring including some huge white spots where the scales are deformed really badly.
Once he shed's I'll take some pictures.

Re: Scars
Hi,
Boy was he in a bad mood. :rolleyes:
OK now when we got this guy handed into the shop we were told he had wrapped himself around the heat bulb. This guy is the reason I seem so paranoid about gaurds - I know it happens and I know how much damage it can do.
First one of his least bad scars (you can't really call them good can you?) ;
Now here's something I haven't heard anyone mention so I thought I'd ask if anyone with bad scarring has ever seen it.
When he is in a shed cycle the skin around his scars fills with liquid like a baloon under the surface - this liquid can be moved around with your finger and doesn't seem to bother him at all. :confused:
It will go away typically a couple of days after the actual shed (this picture was taken within an hour of him shedding - hence his mood). It is as though the skin isn't really attatched at the scars or just has a pocket behind it. Any feedback?
Sorry for the focus it's awkward to hold him like that when he's shooglin;
Here is another oddity - I took the following picture to show the old bite marks (I assume?) on his neck and then noticed the patch of four scales on his head that have completely changed colour with this shed!! :O
You can also see some "missing" scales that should come back with the next shed.
All in all this little guy had a very hard start in life I think. :(
Hope this helps someone.

Re: Scars
Here's my worst. I got this girl from a pet store Sept 03 with scale rot and wounds and she was very thin. She was treated for parasites, the wounds were treated, but she had to be tube fed for months and it was over a year before she started eating on her own. She seems to be pretty healthy now.
Here's a body shot and close-ups of SOME of the scars...
I know this is in the BP section but I wanted to post a pic of some of my corn's scars from when he got scale rot. I figure it must be pretty common for people to adopt snakes who have scars from past scale rot, so this may be helpful.
The white spots are missing scales that will fill in eventually; you can see a dark area between his second and third "motley circle" which is where a patch of scale rot used to be.
