Re: What is a good tip for keeping red tails?
the lady said on the phone that they are sweet snakes, and handleable, so im hoping that thats the truth...

    NOW
qt, im going to go with 3 months, in my sunroom, the only ways into the room are through my parents bedroom and our living room... im going to bring the snakes in through the outside door into there... cause i basically dont wanna take any chances of mites...

i have to find a new vet because after my dog adventure our old one will no longer help us.... they sent us the records for both of the dogs and my ball python that i had brought to her...
but as soon as i find one that does exotics they are going.... and i'll be treating them for paracites, but what about mites, what sort of precautions should i take? im going to get some stuff to treat that... what kind should i get?

i have never had to deal with mites before, and these snakes could be perfectly fine, i would just rather have the answers before something happens so i know what to do and what to get...

Provent-A-Mite is what I use on the enclosures of new snakes coming into my home. Even though I've always purchased from breeders, every snake enclosure still gets the treatment.

It's good that you'll be doing a fecal float on them too :gj:

her and her sister were wrestling and it got a little rougher, and she got a slash in her hind right leg... its healing up now but we sat in the vets office for 2 hours and then were told it would be almost another 2 hours [we were walk ins] my mom called a new vet and we walked out, so a week later or so we got all our records in the mail... :)
it didnt matter to them that my dogs leg was ripped open and that it was oosing stuff... they were to busy taking dogs back that just needed to be checked for worms and stuff... lol
