    Thanks McKinsey. I never want to come off on this forum like anyone should be afraid to own a snake like Tequila but on the other hand I don't want to act like she's a big dog in snakeskin either. She's what she is - a wonderful, good sized snake that generally shows an easy nature but also one that can pack a lot of power in her "punch". Big boas while not in the giant range are still powerhouse snakes with a VERY impressive strike range.

    When our family decided to adopt Tequila, because of her size and the fact that we have children, we set down firm family guidelines for her care, housing and handling. We never want a stupid mistake on our part to affect Tequila's life or to impact on laws that allow us and others to keep snakes of her size in our community.
