Just a little OT - how is a site flagged by Google? I don't believe I'm familiar with that.

And - I'm happily sending NERD money myself and can't wait to get my two girls home with me!!!

This is a very good example of finding your information from a variety of sources. This flagging thing with Google is not an indicator of a good, reputable snake breeder with NERD certainly is. Before you make decisions driven by computerized things remember to use the nice little natural computer between your own two ears. :)

I understand the sentiment, but the Google flagging is done specifically for the purpose of preventing the propagation of malware.

Nothing against NERD of course, since the most likely scenario for this happening is their hosting company failing to keep up with patches on their server, but I would heed Google's advice and avoid submitting any identifying information (name, address, cc#) through any flagged site.

Google's flagging system has nothing to do with a companies veracity as a business. I see it day after day with a lot of clients I work with. Alarming, but usually nothing to be concerned about. Like I tell people if you are worried pick up the phone and call. Use it to do business until the online security issue is worked out.

Yes I get the whole flagged thing, however, my point is blindly following some pop up computer notice so that it results in this sort of post....

    ....makes no sense to me.

If you researched a breeder enough to send them money in the first place, why would some technical babble make you think they are now "bad people"?

It might make me stop and think something is wrong with their site. I might send them a message saying "hey what's up?" or heaven forbid pick up a phone and speak to a real live person. I might, if I didn't really know them, use my little grey cells to actually find out from independent sources about this company I've either sent money to or intend to do business with.

A very quick search online gave me example after example of companies complaining about this "flagging". Apparently you don't get notified if you get flagged by Google, you don't know you are losing business until you figure that out and hey - they aren't responsible to you for what you've lost if you or your server were flagged incorrectly.

Sorry but I guess I'm just too old to buy into any automatic belief in any computerized notification system so much that I stop thinking for myself. Don't get me wrong, I obviously love Google but I can't think of that last time I googled something and just believed it without question and without verifying what results I got.

I know and have researched NERD .. that isn't the issue, the issue was the exact same site that took my credit card info the day before is now flagged for having malware. Was it the right site? Was there some phishing with my information? Those were the questions I could not answer myself.

Thanks for calling my common sense into question, I was just taken aback by the coincidence of the whole thing and was/am concerned about my personal information being in the wrong hands.
