My best wishes and prayers, Casey, for your friend's baby. It's very good that she had that week in the hospital because yes they would have given her the drugs needed to help lung maturity and give that baby a better chance. Tiny preemies have such better odds now than they did even 10 years ago. Many blessings that he's a little fighter and with good medical support will do just fine.

I'll do my share in sending up prayers! Please, let us know how they are doing!

My son's half-brother (brother from another mother) was born at just over 2 pounds and I mean just over. He is now 10 years old and a thriving young man! I'm sure your friends baby will do just as well.

The child will be in our thoughts. I know how stressful it was when Ashley was having our daughter and everything was going great, I couldn't even imagine if something had went wrong.

    Best wishes.

Visualizing a healthy little fattie, with big bellowing lungs, waving his clenched fists from all the extra energy he has. :)

PS: Also seeing some parents with enough support around them to get some good night's sleep!

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone! I will pass them on to the mom & dad.

I don't have much to update, because I haven't been getting very detailed reports. I am sure they have plenty of other things to do than to call up everyone they know with all the details, so I'm not complaining.

I know the mother is doing better and has been released from the hospital, and the doctors continue to be positive about how well the baby is doing.

I'll update again when I know more.
