Re: New advice, what do you guys think?
i think there is one good reason to move them,SUBSTRATE.if you are using newspaper or something like that, then feeding in the tank is fine.there is a thread right now on aspen stuck in a balls mouth.not a scenario id like to face.there are many strategies on feeding and husbandry and it all depends on you and your snake.to the op,that was a great idea.unconventional but it worked, congrats!
Re: New advice, what do you guys think?
Well thanks for the information. I see your points, but I am uncomfortable feeding them in the enclosure. And they dont have a problem eating out of a box so Im ok for now :P
Re: New advice, what do you guys think?
Removing your snake and putting it in a new enclosure for feeding could cause stress, and they might refuse. But Hey! if removing them from their enclosure and putting them in a "feeding container" works for you, then I don't see any reason why you shouldn't continue to do so. :gj:

I feed on shredded aspen. If they can digest bones and teeth I think they can digest a little aspen. From my experience aspen stuck in the mouth is nothing to worry about, the snake always finds a way to get it out.. its interesting to watch too.. Now if your talking huge chunks of substrate that could be a different story..

thats all on you bud.i know i wouldnt like if i had a tooth pic stuck in my mouth and id be furious if someone thought it was interesting.
Re: New advice, what do you guys think?
I like to feed mine out of cage, one becuase i have two males in one cage, (don't need the comments about that i've heard them all and im still having no problems with it), two i have large chips of jungle subrtate so those could be quite bad for their digestion, and three i think i could be very possible for them to want to strike you when you go in on feeding day. Just take a look at the snakebytes. tv videos and how their snakes come right out after them on feeding day. I was hoping this advice would just help some people who might be in a similar position. Thanks for the comments everyone.
