You can just use black spray paint on the outside of the glass. Make sure to take the baby out first

I don't have black spray paint atm, what else could I use that I might have laying around the house?

Construction paper, newspaper, colored foam board.

Once you have your set up perfect, your snake will adjust easier and be less problematic. The UTH, thermostat, thermometers/hygrometers, and 2 identical super snug hides.

When you have everything set temperature and humidity wise, then leave the snake to adjust to his new home for at least a week. This means no interruptions, no holding, no rearranging the tank, just leave him be to acclimate to his new home so your chances of a continued and steady feeding are that more successful.

I used foam around my sides of the tank to hold in heat, and use the foil on the screen top to hold in heat and humidity.

In the husbandry section, there is a great sticky on glass tank set up, I suggest reading it. :)

But for a baby ball python, a ten gallon will work for a very long time! Kudos
