    Shouldn't the number be on the package shipping slip??

    I always worry, and double and triple check my shipements, and ALWAYS ask that people call me as soon as they get the package.

    The phone number is not on the shipping receipt? Call the shipper and see if they have a driver that can swing buy and see if the package is still there.

    When shipping with FedEx, if you do not click the button requiring a signature, then it automatically reverts to not needing a signature. We typically do not require a signature on our shipments because, if there is noone there to sign for the box, the drivers usually do not make another attempt to deliver, and your box will sit at FedEx for another 24 hours (until the next day) before they attempt another delivery. Drivers typically leave the package in a shaded area, and not in direct sunlight. Therefore, if you packaged the snake correctly, it should be just fine.

    I am the same way Heather. However, for some reason my customers, lately, don't feel the need to contact me when they receive the animal. The last 4 shipments I made, I had to call the customer at roughly 6pm and ask if they got it. I wish everyone understood how nerve racking that shipping a snake can be for the shipper. As the recipient, your nerves are at ease as soon as you look at the animal, but the shipper relies on the recipient for that warm and fuzzy.

    If the recipient is not home the packages can usually be picked up at the local Fed-X office. I would feel more comfortable with it being at the office and accounted for rather than left on a doorstep (depending on the neighborhood) and I would not trust that all the drivers would "make sure it is in the shade".

    If the recipient missed the shipment and then could not be bothered to drive to the local office well then....errrm...no comment.

    I got a note a few hours ago (I took a nap after finding that they where ok, as I was up untill I found out they where ok). They where cold, but better a bit cold then cooked. I was surprised that the cold pack kept them so cold. The young man who got the girls was busy taking care of them before shooting me an email. He wanted to make sure they warmed up and where moving about before contacting me. What a relief. Thanks for supporting me :D I was a basket case.

    I understand your points, and would never question there validity. I am just relaying my experience with FedEx, after shipping about 50 boxes last year.
