on the urbanpython they say the original import male they got bred some females in 06 and they havent proved it out to be recessive yet

as far as it sounds they are the only people that have them and they are an unproven morph

so who else would have one that you were going to buy one from?

    Hi again guys,

The Sandblasts in question are direct African imports - i will say no more, apart from the fact they are not poss hets they are visual moprhs. I have the possible opportunity to buy one, and there is another on offer. if i somehow managed to remortgage my house ;-) or rob a bank and got both (unsure as to whether i can get one yet) i simply wanted to offer the opportunity to one to someone else.
Be sure to see pics of it when and IF i get them. Fingers crossed.

If they are "THAT" expensive why would you even consider buying both with the idea to turn it around and resell it? At best you would break even but it is highly doubtful you could quickly resell it for a profit.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Hi,

Not to mention the loss of the opportunity for a visual to visual breeding later on to see if the trait came out in the offspring. :O

Your taking a big gamble unless you know something about their genetics that you aren't saying.

About all anyone else knows is they aren't dom or co dom. That might make it a tough sell.

wow I am very impressed you guys went from wanting to get your first Ball Python 8 months ago to trying to get one of the rarest Ball on the planet. Very big jump.
Best of luck to you.. Make sure you get pic up when and if it comes in.

Personally, I love the sandblast that Urban Python has. It's been on my list of "someday" morphs to own. That said, I wouldn't bank my house on any one morph. It's just too big a risk for me.

If you lose out on the genetics, or they come from Africa not looking like you expected, or if they should die, or don't ever eat, or...the list goes on.

You must be very gutsy. Good luck to you. If you do end up getting one I'd love to see pics.

Thanks for the input everyone, I'm not really remortgaging my house for them! thats just my very bad sense of humor. The person i am looking at getting them from has been successful in breeding them - these are not wild caught. Due to this fact i am pretty sure that if Urbanpythons persist they will prove it out.

Its true there are risks importing from Africa but the risks are reduces slightly for as as they do not have to fly so far - we are in the Canary islands which is just 60 miles of the cost of Africa.

I personally love this trait and now already have a potential buyer for the male.

I will post pics for you all when the big day arrives. We also have a Banana, Clown, Caramel Albino and Pied coming to us in the next two weeks so we are very quickly growing!

    thank you everyone.
