That's terrible, Heather. I hate to see things like that; I can't imagine how rough it must have been on you. I'm sure it was for the best, though - part of a larger plan.

You mentioned that the clutch was doomed from the beginning? Did something happen along the incubation/laying process that made you think something was up??

I believe that the substrate was too wet.

The eggs were HUGE and they seemed to have sucked up even more water...

Two went bad in the middle, and one went bad at the end... and the last one is a runt.

Well Heather I wish you the best of luck with your runt... I think you produced some great black pastels... didn't you have some for sale last year as well? If you did and I'm thinking correctly... the babies you produce are awesome to say the least.

It's sad, but I think it all just comes down to "They are not all meant to make it...."
