I had to nudge a carpet python with a snakehook. He kept trying to finish his meal completely underwater and having to stop because he couldn't breathe. He refused to let go of his meal, so I had to bump him with the hook in order to get him out of the waterbowl. He slithered into his hide, (rat pup coiled once) and finished his meal inside the hide.

Yeah, one time when i was feeding my BP live, he struck at it, coiled around, picked it up, and slammed it into his water dish! I so should've got that on video. Sometimes when circumstances arise, they happen to dine in their water dish. Although i've heard that some won't eat if the prey is soaking wet. But that didn't stop my BP :) And it also didn't stop yours.
