I agree Tim, I have seen and heard of some large captive females that have dropped large clutches too. I would bet they dont mate as much in the wild as they do in captivity.

I am starting to understand now. i have no intention of getting a gravid WC. I am still just rescueing and rehabbing. I was just wondering on that topic.

I get clutches of 9 to 12 eggs regularly. When your females are over 5+ years they start to lay larger clutches. Largest clutch for me last year (2007) was 16.

well i have a girl that was born here and raised here and she gave me 12 good eggs one baby died when they were hatching i have a seond girl give me 8 good eggs and none of these are w/c they are all CB
