Awwww babies! Congrats Nate! I'll tell you I had to talk to Kara too before we cut our first eggs - I was that nervous. Had to stop a couple of times too in the middle of the cuts to get my hands to stop shaking. I was totally convinced I'd cut a hatchling - which of course I didn't - but the first time is scary stuff! LOL

I love the feel of the hatchlings just out of the egg and washed up. It's like the finest raw silk. So smooth and soft your fingertips can barely register any friction against their skin.

As per Kara's advice, I am going to work on slitting the rest of them tonight...I stopped to post pictures because I'm so excited and nervous...I can't stop shaking every time i go to make the cut! :O
