I am just curious, if the kink is a crushed portion due to pressure or some other physical factor.

Sounds interesting I can't wait to hear the out come.

    Good Luck!

I do not have a kinked Caramel, so I can't do that yet, but if I get one, I may try that out. Thanks for the input, it is a great idea.

Tim I don't know if it would be worth it to you but your eye doctor uses a tool called a Tonometer that messuers the inturnal pressure in the eye via contact with the surface. They are avaliable through medical supply retail and mail order don't know if you'd be intrested in something like that?

That's awsome advice. I think I may look into that. I let you guys know what comes out of that lead.

Interesting stuff Tim. I can't wait to see the results.

I have a few 'experiments' underway myself ;)

Thanks Daniel and Mark. As for Ed's comment about tonometers, I did a little research on the devices. It seems that the one I want is about $2,500. I did find one that is $75, but the reviews on that one are poor. It seems that it is not very accurate, and does not have repeatable tests when measured with a machine. However, the cheaper (Proview) may be accurate enough for what I am wanting to do. I think I am going to talk to an Opthometrist and find out if they can give me some insight into what I want to do.

This si turning out to be a great thread with lots of other hypothesis and some other thoughts that hadn't crossed my mind. Thanks for all of the input and feedback.

Your local vet should have one of those tonometers to measure I pressure in dogs and cats as well, so that's another source you may be able to tap.

Best of luck on your researching Tim, and I will also be looking forward to your results. :gj:
