Substrate / Water changes.. how often?

i use cyprus, i do a full change every 3 weeks or so... spot daily, sometimes i skip a day if im busy... =]

I change the water every 2-3 days. I sterilize the water bowls once a week. I use newspaper, so I try to change all of the paper and clean out the tubs once a week regardless if it's been soiled.

i use aspen, i spot check daily, complete changes about every 2 weeks for the smaller snakes, larger weekly.

water changes, every 4-5 days unless they make poopie in it.

Well, if water gets dirty it's changed immediately, if not then it gets changed once a week. Bedding I spot clean every day (I use aspen on top of a layer of newsprint) and change everything when the paper underneath is visibly yellow. This is more often with my corn snakes and less with the BPs: I'd say once a week with the corns and twice a month with the BPs.

And I fluff the aspen about every 2-3 days since they love compacting it. :) Or tunneling in the case of the corns.

haha i do the opposite!
i compact it, for all my snakes, but my king, and rat snakes love tunneling.

I use unprinted packing paper. I change it as its needed. If it gets dirty or they tip their water over it gets changed. I change the water once a week unless its tipped over or gets messed in. Also when I change the paper and/or the water. I wash the tubs, hides (if they are using one) and water bowls. So most of the time their tubs get a total cleaning once a week.
