Well it is day 2 and I am now able to talk about it.. :(
The vet said that the infection was way to far gone and had spread through her body. This is why when we picked her up the night before the end she didnt feel cold but actually warm. He said that was the sign that the infection was much worse than we had thought. He said he was so sorry to hear that it had happened on the day she was to go back for her check-up.
On the good side of this. My son's BP Duk checked out A-OK and he is srtong and healthy. He is weighing in at 1772.89 grams on empty. He has no mites and all is well with him.
I hate to say this but I dont think I am cut out for rescues.. It is to rough on me and my family. We get so attached to them so fast and to have this happen just bites!
I do know I will be the biggest :cens0r: when I see any reptile being neglected:mad:.. I might even take it into my own hands:fishslap:
Thank you all for your kind words...

Its always hard to see an animal being mistreated. I've got the local ASPCA and the NH Fish and Wildlife Commission on speed-dial on my phone now. I've seen too many animals mis-treated and kept in horrible conditions but I, unfortunately, just don't have the money or the space to keep a rescue. So from now on when I see this kind of mistreatment I will be calling the ASPCA immediately and hopefully the pet store owner will learn that they are not qualified in the least to care for reptiles when they get slapped with an animal cruelty fine.
I'm so sorry about your Lucky. I hate losing any animal :(

even though this may sound good, in washington, THEY DO CRAP for reptiles.
this state sucks when it comes to reptiles.
all they need if "drinkable water, a cage, and food."
we went to this place around here, and there were like 10 balls to one 10 gallon cage, and there were sheds in the tank, and very dirty, but it was "ok" with the state because they were bassically living.
