Mine normally go once or twice a month so I definitely do not wait till they have pooped. You should see how much one of mine poops. I had a friend over who is going to be watching our animals for a few days at the end of the month and I opened up Sadis's tub to show him how to just open the tub, and give them fresh water. The first thing my friend said was "What the heck is that?" He pointed to a fresh poop that Sadis had left. I told him. "That is what we refer to as a LOG." He burst out laughing.

I feed mine every 7-10 days depending on when I can get feeders. Once I'm producing a constant supply of my own its once every 7 days like clockwork.
