how often should my snake eat?

My feeding schedule is similar to Starmom with my smaller snakes feeding about every 4 days and my larger snakes feeding about once a week. I offer my smaller snakes that were feeding on mice two food items per feeding. If they eat both great, if not, no biggie but 9 out of 10 times they eat both. As for my bigger snakes, they eat a rat once every 6 to 8 days. In August I increase the days between feedings for my breeder males and keep my females eating every 6 to 8 days until breeding season begins.

I only breed rats and I am currently feeding all my freshly hatched baby balls a proportionate sized rat from the get go and they nor will any of my future balls from here on out ever see a mouse.
