Re: Helathy weight gain?
So at 250 at 11 months, she was already pretty little? :( I hope she is fine.

Re: Helathy weight gain?
Well, she still seems small to me but also seems like she's growing good for you. Over 100 grams in 2 months. I'd say that's great for one that was so small to start with.

Re: Helathy weight gain?
Well I'm glad I decided to weigh her and weigh the mice. At least now I can keep track and be sure the mice are big enough. Do you think my plan sounds like a good one?
Track weight, weigh food and feed 10% of her weight, stool sample to vet, and feed every five days for a little while until she is more normal size?

i've heard some keepers feed every 5 days until they hit 1000g (for females). im not sure for males. are you sure of the gender as well, as that could possibly be a factor, i think males grow slower than females and stay smaller.
your plan sounds good.

Re: Helathy weight gain?
Sorry to hijack, but I was concerned that my bp may be putting weight on too fast as well. The vet weighed her 3 weeks ago, and I weighed her yesterday. She went from 450 grams to 560 grams in three weeks. She has been eating two adult mice every 5-7 days. When I posted before about this rescue, and her suspected age of 2-3 years by the vet, everyone said she was very underweight. She is putting weight on nicely, but maybe too fast. The two adult mice might be a bit too much as far as a weight percentage for the snake, but she always takes the 2nd one quickly, and is usually trying to hunt down a third from the tub sitting next hers.
Sorry for the hijack, I am worried.

Re: Helathy weight gain?
For ThyTempest- start a new thread regarding your questions ;)
To the OP: All of my 07's are between 650-1100g except for one. The one little girl is a pain in the butt as far as feeding and refusing goes!
So, if yours has a good track record for feeding and is still only that weight and is also eating 5-7 days, I would take poo to the vet for a parasite check. I would also up prey size, like Connie suggested, to rat weanlings every 7 days.
