You're all good Johnson and Ranco are both great reliable thermostat and if you are only keeping one BP as a pet you really don't need anything more (you can but you don't have to)

ok good, thats what i wanted to hear about the thermostat.

im moving the enclosure into the basement of my house where its more humid to hopefully raise humidity in the tank.

i've never heard of braining a mouse before, but after my little kinks have been worked out i will try it.
