Sounds fun, just make sure that where ever/ who ever you get the spider from does not have spinners/ wobblers!

I wonder if they would be all right together maybe? It's a 20g long tank with plenty of hides and they're both fairly small. But I know that that's like mucho mucho frowned upon :( thanks guys! I'll learn my morphs in a while

The hugest wrong thing in this picture is the lack of QT'ing. Especially with a snake from a pet store, you MUST quarantine.

I plan to buy my next snake from NERD since they are only 1/2 hour away from where I live and they have some absolutely beautiful BPs. I want a spider so freakin bad! I'm already picking out the cage and everything that I want to get for him/her, I'm thinkin a vision cage from Reptile Basics with one of their RHPs and a couple other extras would be freakin sweet :)

Rich doesn't make Vision Cages- he makes better cages!! ;)
I can tell you all about his RHP's in another week when I have my 3 cages and RHP's set up!!!

I highly doubt you'd find a visual morph at a PetCo. So many times those snakes change hands before they even make it to the store, there's little likelyhood it would make it to the floor of any retail store before being noticed. Now there's probably a chance that a few of them are carriers for some recessive traits, but goodluck proving them out without the most amazing pair of lucky rabbit feet, and a gaze into the magic 8ball. (Lucky Adam).

But that does not mean that the snakes are any less appealing. I love when we recieve a fresh batch of balls and getting to look every snake over and realizing just how unique every individual ball is. There really is nothing "normal" about any of them. They are all cool. Even with my small collection of morphs back at home, I keep finding myself wanting to take half the snakes home because I fall in love with something about most every one of them. And if my feeding bill wasn't already rediculous... I would.

...funny thing is... whichever associate handed you that snake could get in serious trouble for letting you take pictures of the animals inside the store... silly rules... lol

lol really? There were like 3 associates around me when I was taking pictures of him :colbert: I do agree with you though every BP that I see is absolutely beautiful in its own special way. I'm still fascinated by watching the patterns and movement of my normal BP and can't wait to build my collection :)

I was a actually under the impression that the spinning/wobbling is not necessarily a bad thing for the snake, they just have like a nervous tick type thing that they do. Does it actually affect them health-wise?

yea... it's to keep people from taking pictures of dirty cages and then turning the pics over to PETA or some other humane society. Which should never be an issue in the first place, because the cages should never get bad in the first place... Assuming policy/procedures are followed, the cages should look immaculate all the time. but lazyness/indifference does seem to happen from time to time. So... the "no picture" policy is set just in case.

There are plenty available without the wobbles. Certainly better to avoid it. A must if there will every be breeding in the future.

Some believe that all spiders spin - some to a barely detectible degree and some more obvious. Some will hold their heads to the side like a puppy catching an interesting noise, some will get excited at feeding and wobble, and some will be obvious wobblers.

Hey I'm sorry I'm new to this stuff and I'm still learning what really makes a morph a morph. However, just went to NERD yesterday for their tour and I learned so much from just talking with Kevin one-on-one for a few minutes and looking at some of the bloodlines that he has going. I'll try and keep the noob posts to a minimum though so I don't offend anyone else like you. (BTW I'm the first to admit that I'm a post-first search-later type of person but I'm getting better at using the search feature so I'll try and not do that as much)
    Later!
