    yup.i got the baby in a 10 gal for now.but i have 2 males are they ok to put together after quar?

    No!! You know that.... *sigh*
    However, your new guy looks little and so should be okay in the 10g for a while. You'll need another set up when he grows out of it though: t'stat, hides, flex watt or UTH, water bowl; the works!

    i thought so.i wanted a female but they wanted 70 extra dollars for them.2 tanks will be cool for sure.

    There has been several lengthy debates on this issue, so it is up to you if you choose to follow the trusted method of separate housing, or house them together and risk the dangers of multiple housing, especially since you are still learning.

    IMO - NO you should NOT house them together.

    Even a male and a female need separate enclosures. Why? So that you know who has poo'd. So that there are no dominance issues. So that there are no illness issues. It just keeps things much simpler for the novice keeper and the skilled keeper as well. :)
