Re: I cried
Ed I would have cried too! Sometimes we just get so attached to our breeder's, it's always so sad to lose such a good animal. Even more so, when we lose one that held such sentimental value.

Re: I cried
I understand. I am very attached to one of my rats, he is a great-great...(?) grandfather many times over. Keeps perfect order in his tubs and even in his old age (3 years) is still one of my best breeders.
I don't know what to say. Hopefully, today will shine a bit brighter if something happens to perk you up.

Ed, my heartfelt sympathies for your pal...
Its a harsh way to go, but at least you found him before he went.

Very sorry to hear about your boy. I never keep any males toghether anymore unless they are babies/small. I have seen males battle for dominace and it is not pretty. My wife is very attached to out collection and is very sad when the oldtimers go.

Re: I cried
Awww Ed what a crummy thing to happen to a dear old rattie buddy. I've gotten very attached to a few of mine over the years and it's always harsh when they go but worse so with the experience you had to go through with him. :(
