I hope the other driver is found and brought to justice. My mother was in a very bad accident 4 years ago when a young women, driving her boyfriends pick-up truck, ran a red light doing 80 in a 60 (km), and t-boned my mom. My mom is doing better now, although she is still on disability and unable to return to work and we have no idea how much longer the matter will be in court. My mother was incredibly lucky (someone was watching her), and your daughter and your family are certainly in my thoughts.

Positive thoughts and energy to you and your daughter, surely she will have a speedy recovery and be able to put this all behind her.

oh Jo, how terrible. Things could have been much worse. Positive energy is being sent your way as well as being in our thoughts and prayers. Tell her that your "family" on bp.net sends her well wishes.

She thought she was just shaken up (thankfully she was wearing her seatbelt) however she just didn't feel right this morning and went to see a doctor. After x-rays and a CT scan it's been determined she has a fracture in her C5 vertebrae. I know with proper care my oldest baby will be fine - it's just not much comfort when I can't be there with her as I've always done.

Please put her in your thoughts. I hope they catch the (words I can't say here) person that did this to my daughter. I'd really like a few private moments with that driver.

O my :(.You and yours will be in my thoughts and prayers for sure .

It is terrible to be a mom and to not be able to be there for our kids. I know that it's hard for Kate right now too. All my thoughts and healing vibes are being sent to your daughter. Life is too hard sometimes and then we learn from events and Life starts to slowly come back together again.
    Hugs to you and yours,

That's horrible! But also a blessing that she wasn't more badly injured.

I'd be slightly concerned that "just" a fractured vertebrae would not cause "just don't feel right". Maybe it is pinching or something else is bruised or pinching, or it could easily be just the stress of the whole situation. But something for her to keep an eye on and push the doctors if she doesn't seem to be getting adequate answers.

A friend of mine was in a car accident and only found out she broke her ribs about a week later when a cold had her coughing & sneezing and she got so sore she could hardly breathe. The docs said it couldn't be her ribs, they had been x-rayed, but that is what it turned out to be when they x-rayed again.

Will be keeping your daughter and your family in my thoughts.
