    Hi,

Read through the sticky you were sent to again and follow the steps to see if that helps. You can also try the damp pillowcase trick.

Take a small tub - fill it with warm water - not hot. Put a tea towel in the tub with the water filled up about an inch. Put the snake in and pop the lid on. Leave to sit in a WARM place for about 30 mins. Take him out and run him gently (do not peel, let him do it) through the damp cloth over and over and over. Hold him firmly, but don't squeeze. This will get much of the shed off - if not all. If there is still shed remaining, repeat the process in 24 hours.

In order for his next shed to go well, be sure that the enclosure is constantly between 50-60% humidity, measured by a digital gauge. If you are having difficulty keeping the humidity up, let us know and there are a few things you can do to fix that. As soon as you see the dulling or opaque eyes next time, mist the tank until the humidity is approx 70%, and that will help ensure a good shed.

    Ah,

    That may be my fault.

I updated the pictures and video in the forum thread of it but totally forgot we had it in the FAQ section as well.

If you look at it via this link then all the pictures and the video should be there.

Also the thread on how to fix a bad shed is here and contains many good tips.

OK, So I put my snake in the tub. He was chilling in there at first, but then like 13 minutes later he was running around looking like he wanted to get out of it. So I turned off the lights because I thought he might be stressed out. Then I put his hides in the tub but the tub obviously isn't filled a lot. If he wants to get to dry land he could just go ontop of the hide and be fine or just move more up the tub.
Anyway, he managed to get some skin off, but he's now hiding under his hide which is semi in water. The thing is, he's buoyant so he's just getting his bottom all hydrated with water and not his spine area. He's been in the tub for like a half hour now. But Skin still isn't coming off of his top but he's been peeling the bottom off. He still has some on his face too. Idk what to do, take him out? Idk.

    Hi,

You have the washcloth ready yeah?

I would say to move on to that step and see how it goes.

Sorry I didn't respond any sooner. I had the washcloath before and I guess him going in the hide helped sooooo much. Because he got submerged under water and got his head soaked and the spine of his skin. So it peeled off nicely and THANKS SO MUCH EVERYONE FOR YOU POSTS. I COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU ALL!!!!!!!!
