Re: What was your mid-life crisis defining moment?
mid life crisis? doesnt that start around the time you finally realize there is no santa till the time when you can sit on your duff and collect checks?
Re: What was your mid-life crisis defining moment?
I'll tell you when I get there, with all the crazy things I have already done without mid-life crisis I can only imagine what I will do than
Re: What was your mid-life crisis defining moment?
I think the defining moment was a couple of years ago when I realised I was so much calmer and wiser, and more tolerant. That's not to say that I'm calm and wise now, just calmer and wiser than I was before. Ha ha.
In the last few years my two daughters have moved out, and my son went to boarding school last year, so it's just me and my youngest son at home.
Since then I've added two goats to my two dogs, two cats and two Galahs (used to be three Galahs, but Smash died last week).
Now that I'm getting a snake, my ex mother-in-law is worried that I'm trying to fill my nest up in preparation for when my youngest moves out! (She may be right!).
I suppose that could count as a mid-life crisis.
Hey, that means I'll live till I'm 78. Yay!

Crises can be fun if you find a creative solution like herps!
Re: What was your mid-life crisis defining moment?
I haven't hit any crisis yet, but we've had several losses to our family that have hit pretty hard. (especially my cousin who was only a couple years older than I am) That really made me reevaluate my priorities. My family and friends are everything to me, and try to make sure they know it. They bring such richness to my life, and I'm very lucky to be surrounded by by such a wonderful group of people. :D
I do think a midlife crisis could be lots of fun. I think some planning is definitely warranted. :giggle:
