Mine doesn't seem to come out until I have had all the lights off for about 2 hours or so, and even then he is only out and about for maybe 30 minutes before going back into hiding, but I'm sure he comes out more when I'm sleeping.

If she does it a lot - it's not "normal". A content ball python is one you will rarely see during the daylight hours. If they are training for the snake olympics - they're likely stressed.

You mentioned temps and humidity were great - but didn't state what they were.

Have you also been handling her during her acclimation period - or have you been hands off?

I have two flukers digital thermometers/hygometers.
    Warmside- 88-90 deg.

Basking on warmside- 93 deg. ( Have the basking spot probed with a third thermometer)

    Coolerside- 80-82 deg.

    Humidity- 62%

Overall from everything i've read from websites, people on the forum, and this book i bought on balls, these temps and humidity seem pretty good. She doesnt stay in oneside over another, it's all pretty even. And like i said she comes out for a few hours and roams around(from like 7:30 til 9) And its the same time every day for the most part. I don't think shes stressed, but then again i don't know everything about snakes and this is all new to me.:)

And yes to your second question, i did handle her during the first few days i had her then left her alone since then. The only reason i handled her is because the guy at the pet store said she was very docile, captive bread, and was never a problem to handle, and he said i could handle him for short periods of time once i bought him. Maybe i shouldnt of listened to him!? lol todays thursday..im planning on feeding her tommorow (i got her last friday) Then im going to leave her alone til about tues/wednes. Give her time to digest and feel out her home a lil more.:)
