    ok i think im just going to use a kitty litter box and solder out the entrance. this is exactly why i post on here and ask what you guys think before i do some nice project just for my snake to take a huge dump on it =] thx guys

    I prefer the giant bowls from walmart over the cat litter boxes. My reasoning is the lip on the cat pans is pretty big and catches all the poo and urates. It is a real pain to clean! You could cut it off, but that is a pain as well. Just a thought.

    Here is the "bowl" hide I use for all but the largest of my BP females, and for my large corns. This is a $1.99 bowl from target, I use bigger bowls from Wlamart for the big girls (3000+ g)

    I would definitely go with plastic over wood. I've used cat litter pans before. Flip them over and cut out one of the corners. That way the opening is kind of on the top, but also kind of on the side. Another good one to use are plastic flower pot saucers, just put the hole right on the top. With racks however I don't usually bother with a hide. I just wad up an extra piece of newspaper and throw that in, they'll usually wind up under that. That way you don't have to worry about an extra thing to clean.
