    After the snake is finished with his soak, take out the water dish and look in it. If he has mites, there will undoubtedly be some in the water dish- mites can't swim!! They will look like little black dots. Check it out! :)

    now that i think about it. they may not have been snake mites or maybe they were from the snake. who knows. i stick to plastic hides. cheap and you dont have to put them in the oven to kill mites or bacteria or whatever.

    im half retarded so dont listen to what i say.
