Adult mice always seem a little big for my BP, but he takes them down with no problems, and has eaten 5-6 now and never regurged or anything... he makes big poo tho lol.

Ha I agree. It is hard to guess the weight on some adult mice so I bring my scale when I buy them. But I have switched to small rats now that are about 35 grams.

yeah I need to get a scale. I've seen some nice digital kitchen scales at the local grocery store that arent too pricey.

Thats the way to go:) Try and get one that can hold at least 2000 grams. Mine goes up to 12 pounds and it was $24.

I've never weighed a feeder before, is it really that important to weigh them? I mean, in the wild a BP would be eating whatever it could find. I kind of eyeball the mice and if they seem to be small enough, they get eaten.

Its not super important to weigh them, personally I have a bad eye for weight which I found out after I bought 10 and half of them were 20 grams while the other half were close to 40. I like to know, that way I can gradually increase the size of prey.

speaking of poo.....what does a BP poo look like? because I found what I thought may have been some poo when I was moving stuff around yesterday. It was dry, kind of small and mostly white. I guess it could have been something that fell off of something as I was moving stuff around....but I've never seen snake poo so I dont really know lol.

I've noticed that I buy different sizes too, luckily I have two different sized BP's so I can mix and match the mice easily.

That is a urate, get to know them, you'll see them alot. Usually they are accompanied by a turd. Snake turds look just like any other turd. You'll know it when you see it... and smell it.
