yeah I just paired Squez up with Coolio when she finished her shed and they practically ignored eachother for 3 days. So I think it was the pre lay shed. I will have to see where she is lying when I get home tonight.

I have a girl that is an early ovulator - usually my first of the season to go - she consistently lays late - I was told it was probably because she ovulates before I warm my racks back up so the cooler temps makes her "cook" longer.

Well this year I decided to give her her own heat - started heating her up a week before she even ovulated - and yeah she is now a week late looks like business as usual - sooooo frustrating - she doesn't even have a great clutch - just a dinker project - but it so drives me crazy.

I'm waiting on 3 girls. One had her pre-lay shed and should go in another week or so, the other had her prey-lay shed the same time as one of my other clutches in the incubator, she's coiled, she's looking ready but no eggs yet. :( The last one is doing everything exactly like the others (coiling, bowl wrapping, hiding herself away which isn't like her at all) but since we never managed to catch a lock with the male - who knows on that one this year.

I wonder if I showed the girls my two clutches in the incubator if that would move them along - the wait is killing Mike and I. LOL
